Children, like adults, experience stress and anxiety. Whether from academic pressure, social interactions, bullying or family challenges.
Babies also experience stress. Often caused by discomfort, loud noises, unfamiliar environments, overstimulation, illness or separation from caregivers.
Reiki offers a calming sanctuary amidst the chaos and stresses of life. Promoting deep relaxation and stress relief, by balancing the body’s energy and nurturing their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Reiki can help children and babies release tension and unwind.
Peace & Tranquillity
Fostering a sense of peace and tranquillity, in exactly the same way that it works for adults. Reiki works for the highest and greatest good of each individual. This may not be what you as a parent, might want to see change. But, it can only help them.
I believe Reiki can help with:
- Hyperactivity.
- Anger.
- Anxiety, stress and fear (so much of this right now).
- Depression.
- Sadness.
- Coping with big feelings.
- Generally boosting a child’s self-esteem.
- Colic.
- Teething troubles.
Play Based
I have 25 years of experience working with children in an education setting. Ranging from nursery age to year 6. Add into that that I have two adult children of my own and you can say that I have had experience of children from every age group.
A Reiki treatment for a child would differ slightly, in that it will be more play based first. We will colour, draw or I can read them a story. Your child can play with my magical box of crystals* and choose which ones they would like to use during their treatment.
If they are reluctant to receiving light touch through a treatment, then the healing energy would be channelled to them whilst we play.
Parents would remain present during the healing. Each treatment and chosen activity would vary depending on the individual child.
We would have a discussion, upon booking, as to what your child’s favourite activity would be. So that I can plan and prepare in advance.
