From Doubt to Acceptance How Reiki Can Reform Inner Dialogue

So how is your self-talk when you look in the mirror?

For as long as I can remember I had always hated myself. I truly believed the negative self-talk that I had in the mirror, each and every day. “My legs look fat”, “If only my hair was shinier”, “Too much cellulite” or the newer one “God, you look old and wrinkly”… Just to name a few.

You Will Start to Feel Better

Our inner voice can be a critical and demanding taskmaster. We speak to ourselves using harsh words. Words we would never dream of directing towards other people.

A huge part of self-love is unlearning all that you were taught, told & believed. Changing your negative thoughts can also change your emotions. You will start to feel better about yourself and the bits that are bothering you.

It's Like Working a Muscle

So the trick is to catch your negative self-talk in its tracks and quickly change it to a positive. Sure the negative thoughts will still come, but it’s like working a muscle, the more you observe, and control your thoughts, the easier it gets.

Unconditional love for the Soul…We are all so beautiful, I am not talking about the face or the body. I am talking about our Souls, what’s inside of us. You are not your face or body, you are all Soul!

Now proudly step into that! Start treating yourself like you would a friend or loved one. Learn to love and accept yourself, just as you are…GORGEOUS!
